Tybee Island Breeze
Photography & Poem by Norma Beaird
She found peace on Tybee Island,
in the gentle ocean breeze,
watching pelicans at sunset,
on the quiet sandy beach.
While the mist of salt air lingers,
as the fishing boats return,
she has found a place so tranquil,
where her soul no longer yearns.
For the treasures vast and measured,
and the promises of more,
left her empty in her darkness,
'til she made it to the shore.
Now she's found a true contentment,
as she gazes at the sea,
and all nature in its glory,
in the Tybee Island breeze.
