We have this picture in our cottage. This is before the days of digital photography when you had to buy film for the camera. Curtis photographed this windmill and barn in Gatesville, Texas in the early 1980's. He printed this picture the old-fashioned way and developed it using darkroom techniques. Then, he found wood from an old barn and framed it.
He gave it to his grandfather for a Christmas present. When his grandfather passed away, Curtis' mother kept it until she passed away, and now we have this cherished treasure to enjoy. He took this framed picture outside to photograph it, and we see that a piece of grass was hanging over the top of the wooden frame. It just adds to the subject of the picture.
It's the perfect gift that keeps on giving...
