When hunters go hunting, they will attempt to camouflage themselves with camo-colored clothing, scent eliminators, camo-colored face smudge, deer blinds or tree stands. Most serious hunters will go to great lengths to disguise their appearance, movement or scent.
However, there are a few members of the avian community who are masters of disguise. Their colors, habitats and behaviors ensure that they will be safe from predators. Their rustic colors are the colors of the earth. This blog post features some fascinating birds who cleverly blend in with their environment.
These intelligent avians are the ambassadors for the colors of camouflage. Their appearance and behavior in a camo-colored nature setting may cause a photographer to work a little harder for a sharp picture, especially when they are surrounded by trees, brush, leaves, and swampy water. However, that's the beauty of God's creation and the wonder of camouflage!
