One day at a time. One moment at a time.
Each one, day or moment, a gift offered with an open hand in the generous hope that the time of my life, day or moment, will be offered up in service with purpose.
Complaint spoils the silver tint of every second.
Grim projections, imagined and fleshed out with a hope spoiled by cynicism, sours the leading edge of the strongest of promises and buries them in a cave of despair.
Why abandon yourself to the worst that can be seen?
A solitary, standing in the shadows of fading dreams and ignored possibilities. The gift, the precious gift of day or moment, those often presumed upon treasures allowed to slip away, even as they are offered fresh with the morning light.
Complain at your own risk. See only the parade of passing darkness.
Miss the stunning gold of each new sun. Ignore the silver in every full moon. Never hear the rustling in the wind of sunflowers in bloom. Embrace, without thought, without question, the noise. At your own risk.
Refuse the invitation of silence. That silence free of conflict and filled with the flutter of bluebird wings, the Bob White's call or a Mocking bird's songs. At your own risk…
