The clouds and rain told the time. They reminded me that "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
At our house, the wind blew and the dust departed. The rain washed the skies. The strong storm settled into a breeze. The trailing calm brought bird song and butterflies.
There is, as I've been told, "a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to harvest."
Today, in my world it is time to see........
clouds without haze
leafy green trees glisten and dance
alive with the bright reflection of the sun and it's rays.
There is "…...a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
Right now, for us, it is the time to enjoy ladybugs and butterflies swaying on the damp growth at the edge of a fire break.
I have also heard there is "a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak."
Maybe even a time to notice that the doves and cardinals are paired. That the Eastern Bluebirds have fledged their first nest of the year.
Could it be time for beauty and celebration? Could it be time for birth and hope? Is it time to squint at the pearls of light reflecting in the face of the pond? Could it be time for clarity and calm?
"To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
What time is it for you?
P.S. I've also been told, "a picture is worth a thousand words." That is why we used four photographs and 299 words.
Grace and peace.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1- 8
(King James Version)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
